Hatching out chicks from the Hova Bator Day 19-21

So our last Hova-Bator incubator batch of eggs was due to hatch on Mother's Day...they started late on day 19, not day 21 as planned.  The first ones did well, by day 21, we were losing the chicks after they had pipped and zipped...again, so sad and I can't take it anymore!  We are done for this year.  The hova-bator seemed to have a circulation issue as both times the eggs on the one side all died.  I don't know, we're researching things and trying to learn as much as we can.  Each time the last 4 chicks had hernias...

IN HAPPIER NEWS....aren't they cute????

The last ones, one is stripey, one is really small and I don't know if it will make it...today I have it separated.

Chick playtime with tp rolls...so funny!

The golden ones are the fresh batch from our own eggs, the others are the bantams, super adorable.
Right now their favorite thing is jumping into your hand and burrowing into it!  Natural instinct to go under the mother I guess.
Black Cochins
Fuzzy feet!
This one nicknamed "the owls" turned into a huge Black Brahma ~ all 4 were roosters
This is a Japanese breed, known for short legs and spunk despite it's obvious short stature!
