Chocolate & Spring Time Aprons for girls and women

I'll admit that I have been busy with other things besides sewing.  These aprons have been cut out for awhile, but now they have come to life.

Spring Time Apron
The Spring Time apron is fully lined in yellow and has a pink gingham adjustable neck strap and waist ties.  Some yellow rick rack along the hem and some fancy edging on the bodice make it cute.

Spring Time apron is considered a girls Large or a Ladies Small ~ $25
My husband says I look like a doll, leaned up against the door!
Chocolate apron is fully lined, could have wrap around ties or tie in the back.  Adjustable neck strap with pink buttons.  It is made a little wider across the bodice  ~ $25
Chocolates decorated these next few aprons.  There is still one more to come.
This little girls fully reversible apron has 2 front pockets  ~ $15

It's been fun trying out my "new" Viking sewing machine and some of it's unique features.  I finally used the attachment to sew a button on!  WOW!  No more hand sewing on buttons.
There are 4 more aprons waiting their turn to be put together, so I hope to have some more updates on here shortly.

Apron Surprises

Any home educating Mother can probably relate to my dilemma ~ how do you surprise your children with anything when they are with you almost 24/7?  I have been trying to sew aprons for 2 of my girls for such a long time.
I finally had they cut out before Christmas, but didn't manage to finish them.  I am proud to say they are now finished though!  I sewed while they watched a movie in my room (yes, anything to get them away from my sewing area for 1 hour) and I sewed after they went to sleep and then even went to a friends place to sew in privacy!  LOL

Surprising them at breakfast

For my teen who loves anything "brown", I did a fully reversible apron that had flowers on the one side and chocolates on the other.  Long wrap around ties and a ruffled bottom.
Chocolate Bon Bon material ~ I have more of this available

Doing school work in the new aprons

My nine year old loves red and was surprised that I remembered what materials she had liked!
Again, this one is fully reversible and should grow up with her as long as she doesn't out grow her Momma!  Wrap around ties and a neck strap that ties so it can be adjusted for length.
The only problem is that they don't want to get them dirty!  Let's see how long that lasts...

Sonshine Apron

Way too long ago, I picked a winner for a free apron and she has been patiently waiting for her apron to arrive in the mail.

While thinking about how to sew this apron for my giveaway winner, I felt prompted that she is like a ray of sunshine to those around her.  That God's love should shine through her and that Jesus is shining his Sonshine onto her and her family as well.  So, sunshiny yellow it was!

Wrap around ties
All was well, I was feeling very pleased with myself that the apron was completed and could soon arrive in her mailbox... then I had some 4 legged friends come check it out.
"Cariboo Gals" is sure a good name for this endeavor and my life out here in the Cariboo!

Tie adjustable neck strap, she can experiment with bows, etc

A heart to remind her of God's Love for her, each and every day
